DIY: Military Jacket

I decided to get thrifty and spice up and old jacket I got from my grandmother's friend. Luckily I scored the last three yards of gold chain from JoAnn fabrics! Some piping and a hot glue gun later and Viola!

I must say I was not impressed by last night's American Music Awards. There were some highlight like Jennifer Lopez looking amazing while performing, Janet Jackson's comeback, Adam Lamberth controversial performance, and Lady Gaga being...well ummm Lady Gaga. As for fashion, I must say Alicia Keys shined in a blue embellished Giorgia Armani dress while Rihanna's white slashed bodysuit left me saying hhmmmmm.

Meet London's fashionista Jameela Jamil. Jameela is a presenter for Britain's hit tv show Freshly Squeezed  and T4. The 23 year old former teacher has been taking the fashion scene by storm! She's been featured in Teen Vougue, Style.com, WhoWhatWear, and most recently the November issue of Asos Magazine. Although her style is kinda all over the place (like mine) she adds a bit of grudge to spice up feminine looks. ::Dont call it a comeback::

FUBU is planning a comeback! Not sure if I am happy about the brand itself because I don't wear it, however after reading creator Damon John's book, Display of Power: How FUBU Changed a World of Fashion, Branding and Lifestyle.

I respected him a lot more as a business man. John describes the line's new look as "Carhartt-meets-Abercrombie & Fitch style". John also revealed that he thinks the Heatherette line by Richie Rich and Traver Rains was one of his biggest failures. "It didn’t translate from the runway to retail wearability," according to John

Fubu was a successful brand however a strong revamp would have to take place.
