Back To Old Faithful

My skin is going through a horrible purging stage right now. I began drinking a skin detoxing tea about 2 or 3 weeks ago. After 4 days my skin was glowing, not a blemish in sight! A week ago everything went south, I have terrible breakouts :-(
No worries though I know it will get better with time so I continue to drink the tea at least twice per day.
Don't you hate when you drop a beauty product you've fallen on love with for something else you've fallen madly in love with?!! I revisited two of my old faithful loves, Dr. Bronner peppermint soap and organic coconut oil.
Dr. Bronner makes the largest organ on my body feel super clean but not stripped, that's really important in this summer heat. Coconut oil is hands down the best moisturizer for my body. I love the sheen it leaves without feeling or looking greasy. I apply it while I'm still in the shower by just warming it up in my hands to melt it a little.

Glowing Skin

Everyone who knows me understands my obsession with glowing skin, some days I'm as bronzed as a penny! My bronzer collection is continusly growing, from natural powders to shimmer sticks, they all serve their purpose on any given day.

Whether its my beloved Taj Maha or Gold Deposit, I HAVE to wear a bronzer daily to add warmth to my skin.
Lately I've been wearing MAC's newest MSF in Sun Power because it doesnt have any gold reflects and gives a more natural look. Over it I'll add a bronzer that has the gold in it for a little shimmer.
I didn't add every bronzer I love to the list because I usually LOVE every bronzer when I first buy it and this list would be way too long Lol!
A great way to glow from within is adding supplements such as Evening Primrose and Flax Seed Oil to your diet (Talk to your Doctor first of course!).
If you wear a light foundation like Makeup Forever's Face & Body try adding their Uplight Luminizer Gel to the high planes of the cheeks. Also, Exfoliate Exfoliate Exfoliate! Don't let dull dry skin stop you from glowing. My favorite body scrub is simply made up of Organic honey, Brown Sugar, Olive Oil, and Lemon Juice...Simple but effective!!!

MAC's Surf Baby Collection

Last week MAC launched their Surf Baby collection, while I wasn't really sure about this collection I did pick up a few item just to add to my stash.
 The biggest item of the collection has to be the My Paradise cheek powder, it's sold out everywhere! I can. not. wait. to wear this peach blush, I didn't want to use it before I got a picture though.

 Lately I've been using face and body because it's way to hot here for a full face of makeup. The Surf Baby bronzing stick is a perfect way for me to add that glow on the glo without having to use a lot of product.

I grabbed the Summer Stash crushed metallic pigments just because...no real reason for buying them they were pretty Lol...I did use them for a prom though!

 Something sketchy was going on with the gold pigment....

 Surf U.S.A. and Swell Baby shadows to add to the collection. I'm not sure how im going to wear the Swell Baby, a soft grey, but I cant wait to wear Surf U.S.A.

And last but not least, Good Lovin' lip glass. I'm not a big lipglass person, I stick to my usuals however this is great for a light makeup day.

If you want to run a label, quit your job at the bank & intern at a label. If you want to be a doctor, apply to school today, etc. I wanted to act, so every week I go to acting school for 14 hours, study film & actors, read about projects, etc. Once I took steps, roles came.
A girl replied, how can I pay my bills if I quit my job to follow my dreams? – when following your dreams you will be temporarily inconvenienced. Tyler Perry was HOMELESS years before becoming a MILLIONAIRE. Only you can determine the amount of sacrifice your dreams are worth.
Before 106 I had a job making 30k but I wasn't happy. I quit. Moved to NY, worked small jobs to get by, & lived on @FredWhit FLOOR 8 MONTHS! I just meet so many people that want to reach their goals & then complain when it sounds hard! Go watch Pursuit of Happiness
Everybody has a different story. U may have kids, mortgage, bills, etc. But God is powerful. There is always a way to follow your dreams!

Product Review: Free Your Mane Hydrating Masque

Free Your Mane Hydrating Hair Masque


This weekend my hair masque purchase from Free Your Mane came. I heard about the product from Nikole over at Moptop Maven. What really stood out to me was the ingredients listed on the site, but I was a bit skeptical about spending $20 for an 8oz tube. Normally I use a majority of an 8oz tube on my entire head.

• Smooths edges
• Extends color life

My Review

I liked this product, however it smells like a stinky old man dipped in old spice (sorry its all I could think of  Lol). I was in a bit of a rush so I didn't use heat to penetrate the masque. Once I rinsed, my hair had tons of slip and was unbelievably soft. I still have a half of bottle so a little goes a long way. Next time I use this I plan to sit under the dryer for deeper penetration.

Side note: My New Years resolution was to lay off of the flat irons.....Fail! Lol

Beauty: NYX New Products

I've raved about NYX products before, I think they are of amazing quality and the pigments are true to color. I didn't want to name this post beauty on a budget because these products are great even when your splurging! They always have the perfect lip liner for any brand of lipstick.
NYX recently launched a few new products that are defiantly worth giving a try. My friend always yell at me for calling this line N Y X oppose to NYX :-)
